Building on the success of their 2007 animal rights benefit event at Horror Cafe, Uncaged has teamed up with Beauty Without Cruelty and the SA Vegan Society to host an all-day and night animal rights festival on the 4th of October at Roxy's, one of Joburg's most well-known live music venues.

Beauty without Cruelty will be holding their 2nd annual Animal Rights Film Festival in Cape Town from Friday 10th October to Sunday 12th of October at the District Six Museum.
The line up includes films Meat the Truth, Your Mommy Kills Animals and Peaceable Kingdom. We are also very proud to be able to welcome our guest speaker, Dr. Steven Best

The Canadian Seal Harvest is the largest in the world, killing over 325,000 seals this spring. The Namibia Seal Hunt is the second largest seal harvest in the world killing 60,000 baby seals and 7,000 bulls .

Nearly 30 million of these animals are bred in fur farms, the rest are caught through cruel trapping methods.

The 10th International Animal Rights Day (IARD) will take place on 10th December 2007, calling for the recognition of our Universal Declaration of Animal Rights (UDAR).
