On seeing your campaign ad I must say the impact was thought provoking. I often ate foie frais (not the pate) while living in France and found it delicious even though I knew how it was "factory farmed".

The ad, however, has made me think again even though I could never afford it. I do believe I have been converted.

Checkers takes the matter of humane animal treatment and animal welfare extremely seriously. We find the mistreatment and mismanagement of livestock and poultry in commercial production units as being morally and ethically reprehensible.

Since the conditions under which Foie Gras is produced came to our attention, we took the decision to not stock any such products in our business. However, a product which we do stock and could be easily confused with Foie Gras, is "Pate de Foie" (Liver Paté) which is a pate supplied by Enterprise and contains pork liver.
