In 2006 three of the most effective animal organisations in South Africa, namely Justice for Animals, Xwe African Wildlife and South Africans for the Abolition of Vivisection, joined forces in an unprecedented and historic move to advance a common mission and operate as one legal entity.
Animal Rights Africa is the only broad-based animal rights organisation on the African continent.

The South African Vegan Society

The SA Vegan Society was formed in 2007 and registered as a non-profit organisation in early 2008. We are endorsed by the International Vegan Society and are the primary vegan outreach organisation in the country.

The purpose of Capetonians Against Animal Abuse to is raise awareness of animal related issues such as sentience, cruelty, abandonment and care of animals and to educate the public regarding feral cat colonies and the need we have for them in and around Cape Town. In this way they hope to reduce the apathy and sometime downright cruelty and abuse suffered by all animals through the actions of humans.
